United States of America Department of State letter dated November 20, 1967.
46 CFR Ch. I 91.37.5(b) and 91.37-23(b)(1) in which U.S. Coast Guard recognizes ICGB as one (1) of the not-for-profit American organizations to approve the designs of, complete inspections of, and certificate "cargo gear" of U.S. flag vessels:
46 CFR subchapter 1-A 107.258(a)(2) and 107.259(b)(2) whereby U.S. Coast Guard authorizes ICGB to inspect and certificate cranes aboard mobile offshore drilling units (MODUs).
The Federal Register, vol. 44, No.28 - Thursday, February 8, 1979 which names ICGB as an organization to which U.S. Coast Guard delegates authority to approve cargo containers in conformance with the International Convention for Safe Containers and the applicable regulations in 49 CFR Parts 450-453.
The current U.S. Department of Labor/OSHA Certificate of Accreditation for ICGB which expires on April 20, 2010.
19 CFR Subpart B 115.6(b) by which the U.S. Customs Service, Treasury designates ICGB as one (1) of the three (3) not-for-profit organizations to inspect and approve the designs of cargo containers and road vehicles pursuant to the international Customs Seal Conventions.
